Extras on writing

Oisin is often asked for a few tips on writing. He's thought long and hard about it and tried to come up with a few sensible things to say. In the meantime, here are a few pointers that might be some help to young writers. You'll also find a short piece on why Oisin writes for young adults and a seed for a story to kick things off.

Language Towards Literacy

This is a comprehensive, fun and easy-to-use language programme that Oisin has worked on as an illustrator and designer. It was devised by his mother, Eileen McGann, a Speech and Language Therapist with over thirty years of clinical experience. Language Towards Literacy is designed to develop vocabulary, concepts and phonological awareness in young children, and is aimed at teachers of Junior Infants, Resource Teachers and Language Support Teachers.
