I am a writer and illustrator, with a variety of books for children and non-children published in Ireland, the UK and elsewhere. I was born in Dublin and have lived in various different places, including London for a few years. I showed up in art college for a while. Then I had some jobs that had nothing to do with my current occupation, all of which contributed to giving me character, which I had been lacking. A life (thus far) spent wringing a living out of commercial art and writing, has left me with an outlook that might be described as ‘pleasantly bloody-minded, tempered by a cynical optimism’. I now live somewhere in Ireland.
